My design idea for the new version of Ubuntu. I tried to go for a black/orange theme however it feels a little more brown than orange but oh well. If this is fairly well received then I might send it off to the Ubuntu guys to have a look at. I have seen some nice widget designs and icon designs around anyway so I haven't made anything new or innovative there... (Most icons are "Human" ones anyway). The wallpaper was just a quick'n'dirty curve things just as a place holder - again I have seen many good wallpapers in the suggestion boxes already.

I'd test it on my Asus Eee with changes (smaller icons, smaller fonts).

Great design man.. keep it goin
Digging through menus makes me sad.
That's really nice ; I think it's the only mockup I saw that could be used as default theme for Ubuntu. Why don't you try submitting it here : [link]
Is that theme available somewhere?
Nice work, thus.
Very nice!
The gnome separator looks all wrong.
If you get a new version up, put up an xcf/psd as well so we can make some themes!
Something I would suggest, which is my personal preference is for it to take up less whitespace or for there to be a more compact version. Things like smaller buttons in the window's title bar. I like that the buttons don't look huge like most gnome themes do.
Variety is good and I think that it keeps the identity of the product.
Love it hasn't that shitty shade of brown of previous ubunuts.
Hope they'll keep an eye on this!
